Which different animals went to war

The animals that went to war were:

donkeys,

horses,

camels,

dogs,

cats,

birds,

etc

Sergeant Stubby is a very famous dog. Newspapers say he is a Pit Bull but other people believe he is a mixed breed. An American soldier called Corporal Robert Conroy found him in his training field. Robert had to go to war and he didn't want to leave him behind so he smuggled him onto the ship where Stubby warned the soldiers if enemies were coming, if there was a gas attack etc. Everyone loved him so when he died in March the 16 1926 it was very sad.
